La Sony Pictures ha acquisito i diritti di Truth, il film scandalo che vede protagonisti Robert Redford e Cate Blanchett. La pellicola è basata sul libro Truth and Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power di Dan Rather e racconta della tempesta scoppiata nel 2004 dopo le rivelazioni su George W. Bush. Secondo il giornalista, infatti, l’ex presidente degli Stati Uniti aveva ricevuto un trattamento speciale mentre prestava servizio nella Air National Guard durante la guerra del Vietnam.
Elisabeth Moss, Topher Grace e Dennis Quaid sono gli altri attori presenti nel cast.
Truth vedrà il debutto dietro la macchina da presa di James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man e White House Down) mentre la produzione è affidata alla Mythology Entertainment.
Brad Fischer, William Sherak, Vanderbilt e Mikkel Bondesen produrranno il film assieme a Brett Ratner, Doug Mankoff e Andy Spaulding.
